Maison Michel-Sarrazin offers a free bereavement support service in French led by a psychologist. This service is available to any family member of a person who died of cancer and who had a file opened at the Maison Michel-Sarrazin or who attended the Centre Bonenfant-Dionne.
The relatives of a person who has made a request for admission but who has died elsewhere can also benefit from this service.
Grief & Loss Circles is a monthly Zoom meeting held by Indigenous communities to share grief and healing through community, drums, reflection and music. Anyone outside of South Vancouver can join.
Caregivers Alberta is inclusive to all caregivers (caregivers of older adults, chronic illness, special needs…etc.) across Alberta. Services include educational information discussing wellness, coping with changes, and daily life, and also provides workshops and support groups. Most groups are held online via Zoom, and the price varies based on the type of workshop or group.
